Project Details

Designated as one of the “First-In-The-Nation” RAD conversions, three closely located properties in downtown Ventura were rehabilitated into contemporary apartments with a focus on enhanced energy efficiency and indoor air quality. This project has earned a GreenPoint Rated Certification and demonstrates what is possible with a collaborative commitment to updating and preserving affordable housing in our community.

Project Details

Converting a dilapidated 1950’s farmer working complex into a clean and comfortable housing campus for farmworkers was no small feat. The renovation included façade modernization, renovated bedrooms and bathrooms, new laundry facilities, and recreational amenities. The campus now provides agricultural employers with temporary housing for Ventura County’s essential farmworkers.

The La Quinta Inn (pictured left) leverages a Project Homekey state grant to create permanent supportive housing apartments for those experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The Chapel Lane Apartments (pictured right) transforms an existing mixed-use affordable apartment building into vibrant office spaces and redeveloped apartments, creating a dynamic environment for seniors and businesses to thrive.
