Pacific Coast Business Times | Local construction firm leads charge on 2 housing projects

McCarthy Companies is proud to be featured in the Pacific Business Times, highlighting our selection as preconstruction and general contracting partner for two new affordable housing developments coming to the Central Coast by end of next year.

Camino de Salud, located just outside Ojai in Unincorporated Ventura County, will bring 49 affordable units to the region, serving households earning between 30% and 60% of the area median income. Jacaranda Court, located in Santa Barbara, will add 63 units designed to support the region’s workforce, specifically “missing middle” households who earn too much to qualify for traditional affordable housing but not enough to afford market-rate rents. Together, both projects will deliver 112 new affordable homes to the Central Coast.

McCarthy Companies is partnering with Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation on Camino de Salud and the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara on Jacaranda Court, with both developments expected to be completed in 2027.
